City Receives Award For Financial Reporting
Edina, Minn., May 15, 2014 – The City of Edina’s Finance Department has been recognized by the
Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for its financial reporting, receiving the organization’s
highest honor.
The City received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting for its comprehensive
annual financial report. The award is GFOA’s highest form of recognition in the United States and Canada,
recognizing governmental accounting and financial reporting.
“We are very excited to receive this award recognizing the City’s financial reporting,” said Assistant Finance
Director Eric Roggeman. “I think it is a testament to our great staff and continuing efforts to produce the most
transparent financial statements possible.”
The City has achieved this mark of excellence from GFOA every year since 2006.
