Wilson was sworn in as the newest Police Officer for the Edina Police Department on Thursday, May 15, in the Council Chambers of Edina City Hall. The City of Edina, however, was her top pick. “The Edina Police Department has a really great reputation. The public perceives the officers and their work in a very positive light,” she said. “There’s good training, good equipment, good everything, really,” she mentioned as she explained how different this position feels in relation to her past experiences. “I feel a sense of accomplishment with this job, and I’m looking forward to the different types of work I will be able to do in this position like visit schools and interact with local students and other community members.” For more information, contact the Edina Police Department at 952-826-1610. -30-
