Mayor Hovland Walks Bredesen Park
Edina, Minn., July 10, 2014 – Edina Mayor Jim Hovland will lead his monthly “Walk with the Mayor” at
Bredesen Park on Saturday, July 19 at 9 a.m.
“Bredesen Park is home to one of the premier walking trails in Edina,” said Recreation Supervisor Kristin
Aarsvold.
Featuring over two miles of walking, jogging and biking trails that weave through the natural landscape,
Bredesen Park offers views of both wildlife and Nine Mile Creek.
“Many residents enjoy running and walking along the trail in all seasons,” Aarsvold said.
Hovland is expected to speak about the new Nile Mile Creek bike trail that will soon be added to the 206-
acre park. Residents are encouraged to attend and ask questions about the project and how it will benefit the
City.
Walk with the Mayor events are held on the third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. In case of rain, residents
should meet at the Caribou Coffee at Southdale Center.
