Open House Scheduled for Fred Richards Park
Edina, Minn., July 18, 2014 – The City of Edina’s Parks & Recreation Department invites residents to an
open house the Fred Richards site to talk about the repurpose process of the golf course.
Beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 30 at the City’s Public Works & Park Maintenance Facility, 7450 Metro
Boulevard, residents will have the opportunity to suggest ideas for Fred Richards Park. Based on feedback
provided by residents, a reuse study and visioning for a master plan for Fred Richards will be completed.
Following the open house, the consultant will discuss the overall vision for repurposing Fred Richard at 5 p.m.
Monday, Aug. 4 during a City Council work session. The master plan and related graphics illustrating key
points of site development will also be discussed. It is anticipated final drafts will be before the Park Board
Oct. 6 and the City Council Oct. 21 for review and approval.
