City Seeks Ideas On Community Gardens
Edina, Minn., Aug. 1, 2014 – The City’s next online discussion has been set up at www.SpeakUpEdina.org.
The discussion, which focuses on community gardens, is available until Sept. 1.
The City currently has a community garden at Yorktown Park. In the discussion, the City asks:
Should more community gardens be added? Why or why not?
If the City were to add more community gardens, where should they be?
Do you currently use a community garden? If not, would you if more were available? Why or why
not?
In July, the City gathered feedback on public spending on art. Questions posted ranged from whether or not
the City should purchase permanent public art, where new public art should be displayed and how much
should be spent on public art. Feedback from the discussion will be presented to the City Council Aug. 19.
