Fred Richards Park Plans to be Reviewed at Open House
Edina, Minn., Sept. 18, 2014 – The City of Edina will hold an open house 7 p.m. Sept. 23 to share plans for
Fred Richards Park and get feedback.
“This [open house] is open to anyone who is interested in what this land will become in the future,” said Parks
& Recreation Director Ann Kattreh. “It’s certainly a very valuable asset to adjacent neighbors, but it’s going to
be a tremendous asset to the area and City of Edina as well.”
The meeting will be an open house format to allow all attendees equal opportunity to review the consultant’s
presentation boards and provide comments. This new format will allow all voices to be heard equally.
After the meeting, the consultant team will make revisions to the vision master plan report based on public
input. A full report will be completed and posted to the website following the public input process. The public
will again have an opportunity to provide input on the report through the website; via mail to Fred Richards

The Park Board will view the presentation and provide review and comment at the Oct. 6 Park Board meeting.
The City Council presentation is scheduled for Oct. 21.
