HomeMy WebLinkAboutTwo Charged in Hospital ShootingContact: Jennifer Bennerotte, Communications Director Phone 952-833-9520 • jbennerotte@EdinaMN.gov • EdinaMN.gov  FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE  Two Arrested for Roles in Hospital Ramp Shooting Edina, Minn., Sept. 27, 2020 – The Edina Police Department has arrested two people believed to be involved in the Sept. 14 shooting at the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital parking ramp at 65th Street and France Avenue. At 8:54 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, the Edina Police Department received calls of a shooting on the second floor of the hospital parking ramp. A 45-year-old man had been shot in the head during an attempted robbery. The suspect fled the scene. The victim was immediately treated at the hospital and then released. After following several investigative leads, police were able to locate the vehicle believed to be involved in the incident and then arrested two people Sunday, Sept. 27, at a hotel in Bloomington. Matthew Thomas Rush, 33, was arrested for second-degree attempted murder and Lucinda Ann Peterson, 50, was arrested for aiding and abetting. Rush and Peterson are at the Hennepin County jail awaiting charges. -30-
