Approximate plant growth densities were sampled using a rake and recorded on a scale of 0-4 (0 being no target species present, and 4 being abundant target species). The CLP growth in Edina Mill Pond was widespread and dense in numerous places (see photo 1 below and Map attached). Even with very high water levels on the creek, the CLP was surface matted in multiple areas (photo 2 below). EWM was both less dense and less widespread than CLP in the pond, however, the EWM was observed to be dense and surface matting in the lower reaches of the pond (see attached map). The CLP and EWM plants observed appeared healthy; being very green and growing in excess of 6 feet in length. Some natives also observed included very dense Stuckenia filiformis (filiform pondweed) and Potamogeton foliosus (leafy pondweed), as well as smaller amounts of P. zosteriformis (flat stem pondweed), S. pectinata (sago pondweed), Ceratophyllum demersum (coontail), Elodea canadensis (Canadian waterweed), Vallisneria americana (water celery) and Nymphaea odorata (white water lily).
