Pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 1949, Section 282.01, Subdivision 1, as amended
In the Matter of the Application *To the Village of Morningside
of CITY OF EDINA (by annexation now City of
a Governmental Subdivision, for Approval of a New Edina) , Applicant,
Use of Certain Lands Heretofore Conveyed.
Comes now CITY OF EDINA
and alleges: (Name of Subdivision)

2. That on the 6th day of August _19 43 , there was conveyed
ilIX7IIE certain tax- forfeited land in the County of Hennepin described
as follows: Lot Eight (8), Block three (3), Crocker and Crowell's First
Addition to the Village of Morningside State Deed 36593 8/6/43
PID 07 028 24 42 0085 City of Edina 60840/8250
on condition that such land be used for the following purposes: drainage
3. That said lands are (b) abutting upon Little Street to the North, Lynn
Avenue on the East. The land tote West and North is open "space an%-
single family residential.
4. That applicant desires to obtain approval of the use of the land hereinabove described for a purpose
other than that stated in the condition of the deed hereinabove referred to, for the following purposes: (c)
It is no longer needed for drainage purposes but is deaired for
open space purposes as there is other land in the area that is pen
spadet (d) The City Council approved such change in use by resolu_it. ion
adopted May 6, 1985.
Wherefore applicant prays that the use of the lands for the new purposes hereinabove stated be
approved.
