GRANTING CITY COUNCIL CONSENT FOR HRA LEVY
WHEREAS, The Edina Housing and Redevelopment Authority (the "HRA") has authorities and powers
according to MN Statutes, Sections 469.001 to 469.047. MN Statutes, Section 469.033, subd. 6 grants
the HRA the power to levy and collect taxes subject to a resolution of consent from the Edina City
Council for a set period.
WHEREAS, The HRA has formulated and filed budgets for the 2022 — 2023 fiscal years in the same
manner as required of executive departments of the City.
WHEREAS, The HRA's 2022 preliminary budget includes a property tax levy of $237,300 and the 2023
preliminary budget a property tax levy of $244,400.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Edina City Council as follows:
The City Council hereby consents to and authorizes an HRA tax levy the not to exceed amount of
$237,300 payable in 2022 and $244,400 payable in 2023.
