Edina Police Department Closed Part of May 19 for Building Maintenance
Edina, Minn., May 18, 2021 – Access to Edina City Hall and the Edina Police Department, 4801 W. 50th St., will be unavailable beginning 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 19.
A scheduled pressurized air barrier test will take place inside the building, which requires all entry and exit points be sealed off. All City Hall employees will work remotely on Wednesday
afternoon, and the building doors will be locked.
An Edina Police Community Service Officer will be stationed outside the Police Department entrance to assist any visitors who arrive at the building during the test. Dispatch and other
emergency services will not be impacted during the work.
It is anticipated that the Police Department lobby will reopen around midnight. Edina City Hall remains closed to the public, but will return to its current level of operations the morning
after the test.
