Edina Liquor Takes Home Three Awards
Edina, Minn., Oct. 17, 2014 – Edina Liquor recently received recognition from three different organizations
for branding, customer service and operations management.
“It feels good to be recognized for our efforts, as it took a lot of time and energy as well as the involvement of
many to develop the new brand standards for Edina Liquor,” said Edina Liquor Operations Director Steve
Grausam. “Edina Liquor staff should also be commended for their hard work and dedication to these efforts.
We know there is still room for improvement, but our staff is engaged and encouraged by the direction we
are headed.”
At the Sept. 4 City-County Communications & Marketing Association’s Savvy Awards in Minneapolis, Edina
Liquor received a first-place award in the “Marketing Tools/Branding -- New Logo” category. The award
recognized the development of Edina Liquor’s competitive brand strategy including the brand message and
icon, “Where profits get poured back into the community.” One judge complimented the work by saying, “the
ads were beautiful with nice, clean lines, good choice and use of color, clever content, consistent and very
memorable.”
On Oct. 5, Grasuam attended the annual Minnesota Licensed Beverage Association (MLBA) banquet in
Vadnais Heights, where he accepted the Friends of Retailers Award sponsored by the Minnesota Licensed
Beverage Retailers. The award was presented in recognition of Grausam’s work with MLBA and Minnesota
Municipal Beverage Association (MMBA) to make sure the municipal liquor stores have a voice in the liquor
market.
On Oct. 9, Edina Liquor was awarded the 2014 MMBA Facility Award in the “Commitment to Customer
Service” category at the organization’s regional meeting in St. Louis Park. This award recognized the improved
customer satisfaction ratings by building a brand strategy and a customer service training program.
