‘Walk with the Mayor’ at Braemar Golf Course
Edina, Minn., Oct. 9, 2014 – Edina Mayor Jim Hovland will lead his monthly “Walk with the Mayor” on
Saturday, Oct. 18 at Braemar Golf Course.
“Braemar Golf Course turned 50 this year,” said Recreation Supervisor Kristin Aarsvold. “Come walk the
perimeter with the Mayor and learn about its rich history and bright future.”
Residents can look forward to a 2.4-mile stroll around the golf course nestled in Braemar Park which features
500 acres of rolling hills and scenic lakes surrounded by beautiful, untouched oak ridges – a feeling of
seclusion among its urban setting.
Walkers should meet at the first small parking lot on the left off of John Harris Drive.
Walk with the Mayor events are held on the third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. In case of rain, residents
should meet at the Caribou Coffee at Southdale Center.
