HomeMy WebLinkAboutNov. 20 - Snowplow Hotline City of Edina • 4801 W. 50th St. • Edina, MN 55424 Contact: Lauryn Grimes, Communications Intern Phone 952-833-9522 • commintern@EdinaMN.gov • www.EdinaMN.gov FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Public Works Department Launches ‘Snowplow Hotline’ Edina, Minn., Nov. 20, 2014 – The City of Edina now has a “snowplow hotline” for residents to call through the winter to stay up to date on snowplow plans. “Residents can stay current on information throughout plowing events,” explained Public Works Director Brian Olson. “They can listen to the plan and if they have questions or comments, they can leave a message.” The hotline will regularly be updated with a recording with up-to-date information on the forecast and the Public Works Department’s plowing schedule to inform residents of what to expect before, during and after a storm. “It’s going to help the residents know exactly what’s going on as far as when we’re plowing, why we’re waiting to plow and more. We’re going to give them the info they need,” said Streets Supervisor Shawn Anderson. “When they look out their window at night and see it’s snowing, residents can call and be informed about what time the plows will be out to clear their street.” To access the snowplow hotline, call 952-826-1628.
