Hovland to Lead Last Outdoor ‘Walk with the Mayor’ of the Year
Edina, Minn., Nov. 6, 2014 – Edina Mayor Jim Hovland will lead his monthly “Walk with the Mayor” at 9
a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15 at Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave. S., Edina.
“Come walk the beautiful paths at Centennial Lakes before the cold weather sets in,” said Recreation
Supervisor Kristin Aarsvold. “This will be the Mayor’s last walk outdoors before the winter months arrive and
a great opportunity to learn about upcoming projects and plans for the City.”
Centennial Lakes Park General Manager Tom Shirley is excited to have the Walk with the Mayor there. “It
should be a great day for a walk around the lake to enjoy the scenery and the many sculptures in the park and
on the Edina Promenade,” he said.
Walk with the Mayor events are held on the third Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. In case of rain, residents
should meet at the Caribou Coffee at Southdale Center.
