Noon Wednesday, Feb. 23: Registration opens for everyone. 5 How To Register for Activities WAYS TO FIND ACTIVITIES, CLASSES OR PROGRAMS • Browse the online catalog tabs by category. • Use the left menu to search by location or day of the week. • Use the keyword filter field to search for a specific class name. • Click an activity name to see more details. REGISTERING • Find your activity and the time/day/session you want. • Select the correct account member (on the right side of screen) before adding the activity to your cart. • Once you’ve added an activity, you can check out or add another item. • Items will stay in cart for just 10 minutes. • At checkout, you will be asked a series of prompts or waivers that you need to check to finish your transaction. CREATING AN ACCOUNT If you haven’t registered for an Edina Parks & Recreation activity since August 2021, you’ll need to create a free account in our system. • Go to EdinaParks.com and click “Register for Activities.” • Select “Log In/Create Account” in the upper left. On mobile, select “Account” in the upper right corner and click “Sign Up.” • Fill out the required information. • Add all family members so you can use one account to manage everyone. • To enable receiving text alerts of important notifications, such as class cancellations, indicate your mobile carrier next to your cellphone number. • To receive important notifications, such as new events or added sessions, please opt-in to receive all three communication types via email (courtesy notifications, critical announcements and upcoming events). CONNECT CARD HOLDERS • Your annual credit can be added to your account so you can register on your own. • If it hasn’t been credited or you need assistance, call Edina Parks & Recreation at 952-826-0435. CANCELLATIONS/HOLIDAYS/ REFUNDS • Keep your account email up to date to receive notices of class changes, new requirements or cancellations. • Most programs will not be held Memorial Day or July 4; check with instructor. • Classes will follow current health and safety guidelines. • Refund requests must be made at least five business days prior to the start of a class or program and are assessed a $5 administrative fee. • At the discretion of the Parks & Recreation Director, partial credit will be considered if cancellation is due to injury or serious illness. Visit EdinaParks.com Click on “Register for Activities” 6 Adaptive Recreation The Adaptive Recreation and Learning Exchange (AR&LE) offers programs and activities specifically designed to meet the diverse needs of people with disabilities. Visit arlemn.org to find out more information on classes and events. Some classes may be held online. Inclusion Edina Parks & Recreation offers inclusion services for programs and events. Scholarships Connect Card Program This program helps ensure all Edina residents, regardless of age, and those who attend school in Edina have opportunities to participate in activities and classes for education and fun. The Connect Card pays for free access or reduced-price programs, including: • Art classes • Golf lessons • Passes to Edinborough Park or the Edina Aquatic Center • Playground programs • Special events • Sports camps Apply by: • Visiting EdinaCommunityFoundation.org. Apply online or print the application and mail it. • Call 952-300-2378 for an application, available in English, Somali or Spanish. Edina Give and Go Program This program provides scholarship grants so students from Edina Public Schools can participate in academic, arts and sports opportunities. Participants will play their favorite playground games on Mondays. On Wednesdays, they will go on field trips to Edina Parks & Recreation facilities such as Edina Aquatic Center, Centennial Lakes Park, Braemar Arena and Braemar Field. Trip information is sent before the program starts. Mondays and Wednesdays June 13-Aug. 3 1-4 p.m. Lewis Park $135 Travelin’ Teens Ages 11-14 Travelin’ Teens offers a variety of field trips to keep teens active this summer. Teens will participate in activities such as swimming, climbing, mini- golf, outdoor adventures and more! All sessions will go on the same field trips. Tuesday, Aug. 9 8 a.m.-4 p.m. South Metro Public Safety Training Facility $40 FRIDAY FUN DAYS Minneapolis Bike Tour Grades 3-6 The bike tour will begin and end at Arden Park. Participants should be proficient with bike-riding skills. Parents will need to provide a working bicycle, helmet and bagged lunch. Registration is required. Friday, June 17 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Arden Park $40 Kayak, Fish and Beach Play Grades 3-6 Participants will have the opportunity to fish, kayak and play on the beach at Cedar Lake Beach in Minneapolis. Parents will need to provide lunch and a swimsuit. Drop off and pick up at Pamela Park. Friday, July 22 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Pamela Park $40 Safety Camp 9 10YOUTH PROGRAMS & CAMPSYOUTH Fishing Clinic Ages 6-11 Learn about water and fishing safety, how to bait a hook and how to catch and release fish during this interactive clinic. Participants will use their skills to catch sunfish, bass and bullheads in the ponds at Centennial Lakes Park. Monday June 13 / July 11 / Aug. 1 9-10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m.-noon Centennial Lakes Park $15/session NATURE NEW Little Nature Explorers Games Ages 4-6 Join us for trail games, hikes and exploration activities. Make sure you and your kids come dressed for the weather and ready to play all day! Thursday, June 2 10 a.m.-noon Arden Park $23 NEW Outdoor Survival Day Camp Ages 6-10 In this fun, interactive class, you will learn survival skills through fun games and activities. Make sure to dress for the weather with closed-toed shoes and long pants, as most of the class will be spent outdoors and off-trail! Fridays June 17 and 24 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Arden Park $65 NEW Nature Art & Science Camp Ages 6-10 Activities consist of nature sculptures, paint and dye color science, fiber weaving, animal footprints and more. This class is a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities, so make sure kids dress for the weather and wear closed- toed shoes. Kids will be able to take home most of their creations. Fridays July 22 and 29 9 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Walnut Ridge Park $65 MUSIC NEW Friday Beats and Treats Ages 1-5 years Music will be the centerpiece of this new program, with treats adding to the fun! Engage with your child as you both explore a variety of percussion instruments and musical styles in this exciting hands-on class. Discounted PlayPark fee ($4) for all participants to come early for some playtime or to stay and play afterwards. They are similar to our standard classes but compress the four weekly lessons into one session that is an hour and a half in length. $69 Beginner Fast Track This clinic is an introduction to the game with a focus on the basics of golf, including the full swing, the short game, safety, rules and etiquette.
