SW_Pond_SummarySouthwest Edina Ponds Watershed District: Nine Mile Creek History and Management of Southwest Edina Ponds The Southwest Edina Ponds are a series of natural and constructed ponds and wetlands that ultimately drain to the South Fork of Nine Mile Creek. The watershed (shown below) is bordered by West 70th Street to the north, West 78th Street to the south, Gleason Road on the west, and the Soo Line Railroad on the east. 1976 Stormwater project expands existing ponds and creates new, shallow ponds (2-4 feet deep) in low-lying areas.
