Personally, I’m also looking forward to the food – there are some amazing cooks and bakers in our community!” Night to Unite is designed to build neighborhood involvement by bringing first responders and communities together and bring awareness to crime prevention and local law enforcement efforts. Block party organizers can request a free visit by a police car, fire truck, ambulance, Animal Control, Sparky, K-9 Officer or Bike Patrol Officer. Resources are limited because of the large number of neighborhoods taking part in the event, so register early to request a visitor. Registration for the event is currently open at EdinaMN.gov/NighttoUnite. Registration deadline is 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 18. For more information, contact the Edina Police Department at 952-826-1610. -30-
