How To Register for Activities WAYS TO FIND ACTIVITIES, CLASSES OR PROGRAMS • Browse the online catalog tabs by category. • Use the left menu to search by location, category or day of the week. • Use the keyword filter field to search for a specific class name. • Click an activity name to see more details. REGISTERING • Find your activity and the time/day/session you want. • Select the correct account member (on the right side of screen) before adding the activity to your cart. • Once you’ve added an activity, you can check out or add another item. • Items stay in cart for only 10 minutes. • At checkout, you will be asked a series of prompts or waivers that you need to check to finish your transaction. CREATING AN ACCOUNT If you haven’t registered for an Edina Parks & Recreation activity since August 2021, you’ll need to create a free account in our system. • Go to EdinaParks.com and click “Register for Activities.” • Select “Log In/Create Account” in the upper left. On mobile, select “Account” in the upper right corner and click “Sign Up.” • Fill out the required information. • Add all family members so you can use one account to manage everyone. • To enable receiving text alerts of important notifications, such as class cancellations and weather updates, indicate your mobile carrier next to your cellphone number. • To receive important notifications, such as new events or added sessions, please opt-in to receive all three communication types via email (courtesy notifications, critical announcements and upcoming events). CONNECT CARD HOLDERS • Your annual credit can be added to your account so you can register on your own. • If it hasn’t been credited or you need assistance, call Edina Parks & Recreation at 952-826-0367. CANCELLATIONS/ HOLIDAYS/REFUNDS • Keep your account email up to date to receive notices of class changes, new requirements or cancellations. • Most programs are not held on holidays; check with instructor. • Refund requests must be made at least five business days prior to the start of a class or program and are assessed a $5 administrative fee. • At the discretion of the Parks & Recreation Director, partial credit will be considered if cancellation is due to injury or serious illness. Waitlist note: Preference will go to those not currently enrolled in a class/session. When a spot becomes available, you will be notified via email. 5 Scholarships Connect Card Program This program helps ensure all Edina residents, regardless of age, and those who attend school in Edina have opportunities to participate in activities and classes for education and fun. The Connect Card pays for free access or reduced-price programs, including: • Art classes • Golf lessons • Passes to Edinborough Park • Preschool programs • Special events • Sports camps Note: The Connect Card does not cover tax. Connect Card holders are responsible for paying the tax on taxable items such as Edina Aquatic Center passes. Apply by: • Visiting EdinaCommunityFoundation.org. Apply online or print the application and mail it. • Call 952-300-2378 for an application, available in English, Somali or Spanish. Edina Give and Go Program This program provides scholarship grants so Edina Public Schools students can participate in academic, arts and sports opportunities. Apply by: • Visiting Edinagiveandgo.org; online application form available in multiple languages. Adaptive Recreation The Adaptive Recreation and Learning Exchange (AR&LE) offers programs and activities specifically designed to meet the diverse needs of people with disabilities. Trip information is sent before the program starts. Mondays and Wednesdays June 12-Aug. 2 1-4 p.m. Lewis Park $195 Travelin’ Teens Ages 11-14 Travelin’ Teens offers a variety of field trips to keep teens active this summer. Teens will participate in many activities, including swimming, climbing, mini-golf, outdoor adventures and more! All sessions will go on the same field trips.
