City, Edina Magazine Kick Off 10th-Annual Photo Contest
Edina, Minn., April 11, 2013 – The City of Edina will open the submission period on May 1 for its 10th-
annual “Images of Edina” Photo Contest, co-sponsored by Edina Magazine.
The contest is free to enter and is open to both amateur and professional photographers who reside, work
or attend school in Edina.
The deadline for this year’s contest is 4:30 p.m. Friday, June 14. Entries should be submitted online through
Edina Magazine’s website, www.EdinaMag.com. Printed copies of contest entries will not be accepted.
Photos must have been taken in Edina between June 15, 2012 and June 14, 2013, and must be entered in one
of the following categories representing the City’s vision statement:
Living – People
Living – Plants/Wildlife
Learning
Raising Families
Doing Business
Photographers may submit a maximum of five photographs with a no more than one per category. All
submissions must be the original artwork of the photographer.
Gift certificates to local businesses will be awarded to overall and category winners. Winners will also receive
plaques, recognition at a future City Council meeting and will have their work displayed for up to two years at
Edina City Hall.
Submitted photographs will also be posted online at www.EdinaMag.com June 15 to July 15 in order for
readers to vote for their favorite entry. Through online voting, one photograph will be honored with a
“Reader’s Choice” award.
