Whole Foods to host Fundraiser for City Community Gardens
Edina, Minn., April 16, 2013 – On Thursday, April 18 Whole Foods will host a community giving day
where five percent of the day’s net sales will be donated to the Yorktown Park Community Garden.
“We are beyond thrilled that Whole Foods is supporting our Community Gardens,” said Parks & Recreation
Supervisor Kristin Aarsvold. “Their generosity is much appreciated and will help with our gardening efforts.”
Aarsvold encourages residents to swing by Whole Foods, 7401 France Ave. S., because every dollar spent at
Whole Foods is a contribution to the Yorktown Park Community Garden. Whole Foods will be open from 8
a.m. to 10 p.m. on Thursday.
Yorktown Park Community Garden is a pilot project for the City of Edina. All 55 garden plots filled up within
a week of registration opening.
