The event will feature a full-size petting zoo with a calf, goats, bunnies, ducks and more. Back by popular demand are pony rides. “Barnyard Boogie gives our Edina residents -- both children and adults -- a chance to see a part of life that may be very foreign to them: farm life,” said Recreation Program Specialist Dawn Beitel. “By interacting with the animals, riding on a pony, climbing on a pile of straw or creating a handmade craft, families will experience the simple pleasures that a farm can provide.” In addition to the main attraction, a kid-friendly DJ will be on site for dancing. A craft table and other activities will also be set up. Starbucks coffee, refreshments and snacks will also be available. The Barnyard Boogie is for children 7 years of age and younger with adult supervision. The cost is $5 per child. Kids under 2 are free.
