SGT Peterson’s To Hold Boot Camps For Residents
Edina, Minn., Sept. 11, 2013 – Looking for a new, exciting workout routine? Edina Parks & Recreation has
teamed with renowned personal training service SGT Peterson’s to get residents into shape with this team-
building, military-style boot camp.
Sessions will run on Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Oct. 7 through Nov. 6. A new session begins Nov.
11 and goes through Dec. 11. Residents can sign up for any one of three different sessions: a morning session
at Cornelia Park, 7000 Cornelia Drive, from 9:30 to10:30 a.m.; a lunchtime session at Todd Park, 4429
Vandervork Ave., from 11 a.m. to noon; and an evening session at Weber Park, 4115 Grimes Ave. S., from
6:15 to 7:15 p.m.
“We want to make starting and staying fit easy for Edina residents,” said Edina Recreation Supervisor Kristin
Aarsvold. “Boot Camp classes in neighborhood parks allow residents to walk down, get fit and maybe meet a
new neighbor. All fitness levels are welcome.”
This boot camp for ages 16 and older will make you sweat and increases your heart rate. You will be sore the
day after a workout.
“We believe in doing things different, challenging the status quote, doing things the right way and not the easy
way,” said gym founder Tim Peterson. “Workouts should be different every time so the (patrons) and trainers
don't get sick or bored with them.”
The cost is $90 per session. Participants will also be able to attend workouts at the Minneapolis and the soon-
to-come Edina SGT Peterson’s location for no additional charge. SGT Peterson’s requests an intro
workout/assessment prior to starting classes.
