Edina Art Center Hosts Faculty & Student Show
Edina, Minn., Dec. 19, 2013 – Every year, nearly 7,000 people take classes and workshops at the Edina Art
Center in a variety of art media: painting, pottery, tile, drawing, polymer, jewelry, mosaic, visual journaling,
sculpture, media arts, music for children, and more! The classes are for students age 4 – 104, and are taught
by a faculty of more than 70 talented artists.
In this show, the entire faculty and students from the past year are invited to submit one of their creations for
exhibition. This is an excellent opportunity for students to see the work of their instructor, and for the
instructor to see the impact their instruction has had on the student. Students will also have the opportunity
to see the diversity of classes available for them to participate in, since most of the media will be represented
in this show.
The Edina Art Center Faculty & Student Show runs from Jan. 9 through Feb. 5. The address to the Art Center
is 4701 W. 64th St., Edina, MN 55435. It is located one mile west of Southdale Center on the northwest
corner of Rosland Park (formerly Lake Cornelia Park).
The Opening Reception takes place 5-8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014. Artists will be there to discuss their
work, most of which is available for purchase!
Admission is free and all are welcome to enjoy art, food and music.
The Gallery opens at 9 a.m. every day; closing at 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 3:30 p.m. Friday, and 1
p.m. Saturday.
