Edina Parks & Rec Department to Host Three Volleyball Clinics
Edina, Minn., Sept. 4, 2012 – In preparation for the start of the 2012-2013 adult volleyball season later this
fall, the Edina Parks & Recreation Department will host women’s volleyball clinics Wednesday nights this
month. Sessions will be held 6:15 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays Sept. 12, 19 and 26 at Edina High School, 6754
Valley View Road.
Each clinic will be led by Stephanie Chapek, Head Volleyball Coach at Edina High School, who has represented
the United States internationally on the NORCECA Beach Volleyball Circuit and will have a wealth of tips and
tricks to share with players of all experience levels.
“The clinics are a nice lead up to the women’s volleyball season,” said Recreation Supervisor Donna Tilsner.
“It is good exercise, plus a nice way to learn some new skills and meet other volleyball players.”
Chapek will tailor skills and drills each week based on participant interest.
The cost is $5 per person, per clinic, payable at the door. Reserve your spot by emailing Tilsner at
dtilsner@edinaMN.gov. A minimum of 10 players is required for each session.
