Applications being accepted for appointment to boards,
commissions
Edina, Minn., Jan. 7, 2011 – The Edina City Council is accepting applications for 2011 appointments
to its advisory boards and commissions.
Advisory boards and commissions with vacancies include the Community Health Committee,
Heritage Preservation Board, Park Board and Transportation Commission. Most volunteer positions
are three-year terms.
Most advisory boards include student representatives. Student appointments are one-year terms.
Applications for student appointments will be accepted in the spring. Those terms will begin in the fall
of 2011 after the start of the 2011-2012 school year.

call City Clerk Debra Mangen, 952-826-0408. Applications must be received at Edina City Hall by 4:30
p.m. Monday, Jan. 24.
All of the appointments must be approved by the Edina City Council. The City Council intends to
interview all applicants. Appointments will be made in February.
