Edina Art Center to host ninth-annual Garden Sale & May
Celebration
Edina, Minn., Feb. 2, 2011 – As the spring season approaches, warm weather and melted
snow will soon come. One spring event Edina residents can put on their calendars to mark the
end of winter cold is the Edina Art Center’s ninth-annual Garden Sale & May Celebration.
The nature-themed event will include a variety of garden-inspired designs, including a selection
of antique and collectible items. In addition, constructed greenhouse and garden ornaments by
Edina Art Center faculty, professional artists and students will be sold. The collection will
include garden sculptures, bird baths, paintings, clothing, decorated pots and tiles, and working
fountains.
The event will begin May 5 and will continue through June 23 at the Edina Art Center, 4701 W.
64th St. On the day of the official opening, the Peggy Kelly Family Fund will sponsor a selection of
youth activities for children. Artists will also be attendance from 5 to 8 p.m..
