The “Electrify Everything MN” awareness and education campaign is co-sponsored by the City along with the cities of Eden Prairie, Minneapolis and St. Louis Park. This first workshop is part of a series of events that will take place this year on home electrification. Light refreshments will be provided. The May 3 workshop will help residents answer questions such as “what is electrification?”, “what appliances are available to make the switch?”, “where can I get technical or financial help?”, and “where do I start?”. Residents will leave the workshop with a home electrification plan and information about technical and financial resources. Sustainability Manager Grace Hancock says, “Everyone wins with clean energy sources. The City is excited to help Edinans get to know these proven technologies and, ultimately, bring them home to enjoy the benefits for themselves.” Residents of Eden Prairie, Edina and St. Louis Park are all invited to participate and can register at bit.ly/3o6RGTU. If there are spots available one week before the workshop, it may open to residents beyond these cities. If you are unable to attend the Edina workshop, two more options will be available in the month of May: Tuesday, May 9, 6-8 p.m. – St. Louis Park Library, 3240 Library Lane, St. Louis Park Monday, May 15, 6-8 p.m. – Eden Prairie Community Center, 16700 Valley View Road, Eden Prairie Visit www.ElectrifyEverythingMN.org for more information and follow ElectrifyEverythingMN on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok to get home energy efficiency tips and information on resources to take action at home.
