City to form winter adult volleyball leagues
Edina, Minn., Sept. 5, 2010 – The Edina Park & Recreation Department is forming its 2011-
12 adult volleyball leagues. Official games will be held Wednesday evenings beginning Oct.

"Adult volleyball is a good way to bond with your company co-workers, neighbors or
friends while getting a great workout," said Recreation Supervisor Donna Tilsner. “Get
together and have some fun!”
The games will take place at the Valley View Middle School Gyms, South View Middle
School Gyms, Edina High School Main Gym and Edina High School Field House. The leagues
end play in early March with a double-elimination playoff tournament.
All players must have legal Edina residence or be employed in Edina full-time, year round
and be at least 18 years of age by Sept. 30. Temporary or part-time employees are not
eligible.
An organizational meeting will be held 7:15 p.m. Sept. 21, at Edina City Hall, 4801 W. 50th
St., for anyone interested in a women’s volleyball league.
