Public encouraged to see the latest GrandView ideas and
designs at November meeting
Edina, Minn., Nov. 9, 2011 –The public is encouraged to attend a meeting later this month to see
the latest concept ideas and designs for Edina’s GrandView District. The meeting is a follow up to
small area plan workshops held in September and October.
The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Braemar Golf Course Clubhouse,
6364 John Harris Drive. In addition seeing a presentation of the ideas and designs being considered,
the public will be given opportunities to weigh in and discuss their preferences with the consultants
and Steering Committee.
“The September and October public work sessions were designed to bring more people, ideas and
concepts into the fold,” said GrandView Small Area Planning Committee Chair Kevin Staunton. “We
are very pleased with the input we have received to date and are looking forward to receiving more
public reaction before settling on recommendations for the Planning Commission and City Council.”
The Steering Committee hopes to bring a proposed Small Area Plan for the district to the Planning
Commission and City Council early next year.
