Miller named new Arena General Manager
Edina, Minn., Nov. 1, 2011 – Susie Miller began her new role as the General Manager of
Braemar Arena Oct. 31. Miller was formerly Assistant Park Manager of Edinborough Park.
“I am excited to begin this new role,” Miller said. “I can’t wait to take the skills I have and take
from the successes at Edinborough Park and apply them to the arena.”
As General Manager, Miller will be responsible for marketing, scheduling ice time and events,
working with Edina’s hockey teams and associations, helping the public and supervising the
arena’s staff.
“I really want to continue to create an environment where residents want to be, to play and be
proud to call an Edina facility,” Miller said. “At the end of the day, I want to have the arena
buzzing with people who are using the facility to its fullest potential.”
“Susie has the admiral mix of passion, enthusiasm, experience, honesty, integrity, creativity and
compassion that is perfectly suited for today’s Arena Manager,” said Park & Recreation
Director John Keprios.
Miller began work for the City as Recreation Supervisor in 1998 until she was promoted as
Edinborough Park’s Assistant Manager in 2007. She holds a bachelor’s degree in recreation,
parks & leisure services and a master’s in recreation administration.
