Gilgenbach joins Communications & Marketing
Department
Edina, Minn., April 27, 2011 – Jordan Gilgenbach recently joined the City of Edina’s
Communications & Marketing Department as Communications Coordinator.
Gilgenbach holds a bachelor’s degree from Minnesota State University, Mankato, in Mass
Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations and a minor in Economics. A former
Communications Intern with the City, Jordan previously worked for the Greater Mankato
Convention & Visitors Bureau and Apple. He succeeds Marty Doll in the position of
Communications Coordinator.
Gilgenbach will contribute much to the work of the City’s Communications & Marketing
Department. He will write a variety of articles and stories for the many publications distributed by
the City, including About Town, and sell advertising. He will also help maintain the City’s websites, use
social media and assist the Edina Community Channel 16 production crew in developing and
executing programs. As Communications Coordinator, he will also serve as the Fire Department’s
Public Information Officer.
Gilgenbach looks forward to implementing the skills he has learned and being able to use them to
communicate with those in the community. “This is an exciting opportunity for me,” Gilgenbach
said. “I am really excited to have the opportunity to work with such a great staff and Edina’s
residents and business people.”
