The market, which runs 3-7 p.m. Thursdays through September, takes place along the walkways near Hughes Pavilion, 7499 France Ave. It’s known for being among the most picturesque farmers’ markets in the region. New vendors this year are: Borealis Bowls, offering blended, plant-based smoothie bowls topped with fresh fruit, granola and other goodness. Chocolate San Jose, offering chocolate ranging from 70% to 100% cacao in bags, bars, brew-ready and as truffles and even in a hazelnut spread. Mogi Bagel, selling handmade bagels in standard and unique flavors such as cacio e pepe or honey rosemary. Pampered Pork, offering pork chops, pork roasts, bacon, bratwurst and other pork products from antibiotic-free pigs raised on a small family farm. They join 28 returning vendors who sell everything from fresh flowers and produce to bread, spices and desserts. Beer and wine can be purchased 4-6 p.m. at Hughes Pavilion so adults can enjoy a beverage while listening to live music. Many vendors sell food to share or even entire meals that can be enjoyed in the garden area or around the park. Once a month will be ARTrageous Adventures Day, offering a free kids art activity during the market. Dates are June 8, July 6, Aug. 3 and Sept. 7. Free parking is available adjacent to Hughes Pavilion.
