This year’s theme is “Where Community Grows,” to celebrate the vital role parks play in bringing people together, providing essential services and fostering the growth of communities. No registration is required for these events held 10 a.m. to noon every Thursday in July: Story Stroll & Chalk the Walk – July 6 at Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave. S. Drop by to catch a story or two and draw along the walkways near Hughes Pavilion. Art in the Park – July 13 at Countryside Park, 6240 Tracy Ave. S. We’ll have a special art project for ages 4-10 to create. Youth Yoga – July 20 at Yancey Park, 5520 Hansen Road. Bring a yoga mat or large towel and water bottle. Accompanying adults are welcome to join in. Bike Rodeo – July 27 at Pamela Park shelter area, 4303 W. 58th St. Kids ages 3-12 should bring their bicycles and helmets to learn safety and riding skills in a fun environment.
