City to form winter adult volleyball leagues
Edina, Minn., Sept. 10, 2010 – The Edina Park & Recreation Department is forming its
2010-11 adult volleyball leagues. Official games will be held Wednesday evenings beginning
Oct. 13.
"Adult volleyball is a good way to bond with your company co-workers, neighbors or
friends while getting a great workout," said Recreation Supervisor Donna Tilsner. “Get
together and have some fun!”
The games will take place at the Valley View Middle School Gyms, South View Middle
School Gyms, Edina High School Main Gym and Edina High School Field House. The leagues
end play in early March with a double-elimination playoff tournament.
At least half of the players on a team must live or work in Edina. A team can include up to
two non-residents for an additional fee. Registration deadline is Sept. 24.
