The National Police Explorer Conference is a career-oriented event that allows young adults wanting to explore a career in Law Enforcement to work with local law enforcement agencies and compete and network with other posts from across the country. The program is available for ages 15-21. Nine Police Explorers from Post 925, along with a team of advisors, drove almost 1,000 miles to the conference. This year, the conference took place from July 18-21. Edina Police Officers attending the conference as advisors were Ricky Harr and Nicole Frederick. Post 925 competed in several team events, earning first in Force Options and third in Unknown Trouble. The team that placed in these events was comprised of Alyssa Wood, Diego Jennings and Anika Lange. “The Explorers have worked hard throughout the year training for this competition. All of the time and effort paid off through their receiving of first place and third place trophies against other posts from across the country,” said Harr. “The advisor team could not be more proud of their diligent work and success.” For more information on the Police Explorers program, visit EdinaMN.gov/Police or contact Harr or Frederick at 952-826-1610. -30-
