Edina Liquor Marks 75th Anniversary ‘Summer Sip’ Event
Edina, Minn., June 8, 2023 – Edina Liquor will kick off its 75th anniversary celebration with a special “Summer Sip” event 3-7 p.m. Saturday, June 17.
After Edina residents voted in favor of a municipal off-sale liquor store, the liquor store on 50th Street reopened under Village management June 5, 1948, and has operated with a profit
since.
The anniversary event for those 21 and up will be held at Centennial Lakes Park, 7499 France Ave. S. The Edina Summer Sip will feature more than 75 wines, artisanal cheeses from The
Grater Good and live music by Brady Perl.
“We are extremely excited for this event, not just to celebrate the previous 75 years, but also to showcase what’s to come in years ahead,” said General Manager Josh Furbish. “We want
Edina Liquor to be more visible in the parks and facilities around the city that we help support while putting our expertise on display to those in our community through events like
this. We have an incredibly talented team who is passionate about what we do and how we impact our community. We want to show our amazing customers that our experience doesn’t start
and stop inside stores.

A VIP experience will be held the first hour with appetizers from Pinstripes and premium wines, followed by general admission from 4 to 7 p.m.
VIP tickets are $75 each, plus fees. General admission tickets are $45 each, plus fees. All tickets include a commemorative glass and $15 credit to be used that day at any of Edina Liquor’s
three stores. Tickets are limited. By online or at any Edina Liquor location.
