Bennett, Sprague elected to Edina City Council
Edina, Minn., Nov. 10, 2010 – Joni Bennett and Josh Sprague will take the oath of office as Council Members at the
Edina City Council’s first meeting of the year, to be held Jan. 4.
Bennett and Sprague were the top vote-getters in the Nov. 2 General Election. The Edina City Council canvassed the
election results at a special meeting Nov. 8.
According to results after the Nov. 2 election, in the race for two City Council seats, Bennett, an incumbent, was
the top voter-getter with 10,419 votes. Bennett was first elected to the Council in 2006 after serving on the
Transportation Commission. Sprague, who currently sits on the Transportation Commission, received 7,889 votes.
Other candidates in the election were Todd Fronek, 7,555 votes; Steve Brown, 7,435; Daniel Azar, 1,708; and
Timothy D. Kehr, 1,210.
