Applications being accepted for appointment to boards,
commissions
Edina, Minn., Nov. 17, 2009 – The Edina City Council is accepting applications for 2010
appointments to its advisory boards and commissions.
Advisory boards and commissions with anticipated vacancies include Art Center Board, Board of
Appeal & Equalization, Community Health Committee, Heritage Preservation Board, Park Board,
Transportation Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals and Adjustments. Most volunteer positions
are three-year terms.
Most advisory boards include student representatives. Student appointments are one-year terms.
Applications for student appointments will be accepted in the spring. Those terms will begin in the fall
of 2010 after the start of the 2010-2011 school year.
All of the appointments must be approved by the Edina City Council. To receive an application or for

952-826-0408. Applications must be received at Edina City Hall by 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23.
The City Council intends to interview all applicants. Interviews will be held Jan. 5, 6 and 19, from 5 to
7 p.m. Appointments will be made in early 2010.
