Call to Order Chair Rubin called the meeting to order at 4:30 p.m. II. Roll Call Answering roll call were: Chair Rubin, Commissioners Chandler, Hegley, Isaacs, Klein, Martin, Miller, Morgan-Nelsen, Rubin, Suckow, and Student Commissioners Jahagirdar, and Konkimalla Absent was: Commissioner Hegley Staff present: Perry Vetter, Director of Edina Parks and Recreation Susan Tarnowski, Staff Liaison III. Approval of Meeting Agenda Motion made by Isaacs to approve the meeting agenda. Motion seconded by Klein. Motion carried. IV. Approval of Meeting Minutes Motion made by Klein to approve the October 24, 2019 minutes. Motion seconded by Martin. Motion carried. V. Community Comment None VI. Reports/Recommendations A. Review of Proposed 2020 Fees for the Edina Art Center Commissioners discussed the proposed fees and recommended that these be sent to Council as proposed. B. Review of 2019 work Plan Commission Chair Rubin and Staff liaison Tarnowski will complete the end of year updates. Commissioners reinforced their recommendation that repairs be made to existing works of Public Art. C. Update on the Status of the proposed ACC 2020 Work Plan Director Perry Vetter joined the Commissioners for introductions and discussion of the ACC 2020 Proposed Workplan. Initiatives on Public Art and the condition of the current Art Center facility were discussed. Vetter shared information about the facility assessment tools that had been used at the Art Center in the last six months; the focus of these assessments was on meeting building code requirements and ensuring the Draft Minutes☒ Approved Minutes☐ Approved Date: 11/19/19 health and safety of guests and staff. As conversations with City of Edina staff continue, the Arts & Culture Commission will be updated. D. Update on Planning for Year 1 of the Three-Year Plan for Public Art in Edina Commissioners want to plan for the development/administration of a Public Art Survey in early 2020. E. Development of a Summary Report from Previous/Current Art Center Reports Commissioner requested copies of previous reports. VII. Chair and Member Comments Due to the holidays, the December ACC meeting is rescheduled for Dec. 19, 2019 VIII. Staff Comments Staff Liaison Tarnowski gave a reminder of holiday-related events at the Edina Art Center. IX. Adjournment Motion made by Chandler to adjourn the November 21, 2019 meeting at 6:05 pm. Motion seconded by Morgan-Nelson. Motion carried.
