capabilities. The main points are:
Computer Hardware: Modest upgrades in memory and perhaps larger hard
drives.
Computer Software: Upgrade Compaq PCs with Windows 2000 Pro operating
systems. Upgrade Macintosh G3's with OS X v 1.1 operating system. Upgrade all
systems to Photoshop 6.0. Purchase inexpensive Disney Software for use by kids.

Video Capabilities: Purchased a Terapin Video CD Recorder which lets us
record video to CD disks. Those disks can be played on most newer DVD players
and on multimedia-equipped personal computers. Will track the market trends for
DVD recorders. At this time, both the DVD recorders and the DVD media are too
costly for use by our customer base. The video camera in the movies transfer suite
is more than 15 years old and should be upgraded for better resolution and more
versatile output.
Photography: An additional strobe for backlighting was purchased. No additional
equipment should be necessary in 2002.
V. DIRECTOR'S REPORT
Miss Hedges offered the following items:
A grant application has been submitted to the Edina Rotary Club. George Kluss
will keep us advised of its status.
The Holiday Gift Sale has been very successful. Sales to this date are $4,000 over
last year.
A new board member has been appointed to fill the vacancy created by Art
Dickey's death. Becky Amlaw is a sophomore at Edina High School. She should
be a valuable liaison to youth in the community.
The board should begin planning for the 25th Anniversary at the January meeting.
Ken Rosland, Pat Greer and Jean Adams have volunteered to help with
preparations for the celebration to occur in September 2002.
