Meeting Minutes
Monday, January 12, 2015
In attendance: Kandace Ellis, Mary-Pat Kelleher, Hilary Santoni, Judy Berkowitz, Paul Peterson,
Michael Frey
1) Details for Feb 14th concert with The Rockin' Hollywoods at Braemar Club House:
• Mary Pat will check out table top paper at Party City (instead of linens which would cost
about $180 based on quote from Ultimate Events) - done, use paper
• Budget $100 for sweet and salty snacks, one of us will go to Costco or elsewhere to
purchase prior to event
• Should we have a student group perform from 6:30 - 7 as people are arriving? Kandace
to call Jack Ready to discuss
• Art Center has black fabric if we want to use that underlay to drape tables, and then
cover with white disposable.
• Michael to send band contact to Amy Smith (done)
• All agreed that doors open 6:30 p.m., music 7-9 p.m. is good
• Discussed poster layout, no need for title for event, maintain consistent "Music in
Edina" wording / branding
• Braemar will send two blast emails, also City Extra
• Raffle items to collect emails, Michael has raffle tickets
2) Next Concert: April 29th Minnehaha Music Gathering
• A fundraising event at Edina Country Club (similar to last year but open to public)
• Hilary will send a tagline for MM event to Michael for "About Town" and other materials
3) Summer "Music in the Parks" Series
• June 19th - Rosland Park / Showmobile 6:30 - 8:30pm
• July 4th - JP Sousa Band
• July 12th - Jazz Concert at Centennial Lakes
• July 31th - Rosland Park
• August - 2 smaller jazz duo/trios in other locations...
4) Follow Up
• Michael will give these dates to Jennifer B to make sure they get into the next About
Town publication. Deadline is April 17, 2015.
• Hilary to give Michael working for emails - done
• Kandace to call Jack Ready
5) Next meeting - Date to be determined.
