Edina seeks sponsorships for July 4 Parade
Edina, Minn., April 6, 2005 – The City of Edina is looking for sponsors who want the attention of a patriotic
Edina audience and wish to help present the best community parade ever.
Sponsorships help offset the costs of promotions, marching bands, professional clowns, costumed characters and
other entertainment. “That’s where we get entertainment,” said Mary Brindle, chairwoman of the volunteer Parade
Committee . “That’s what people come to see.”
Sponsors are needed in four levels for this year’s parade. Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum sponsorships give
supporters different types of exposure.
One Platinum Sponsor will be the official presenter of the parade and the company’s name will appear in all materials
and advertisements promoting the event, including the parade Web site, edinaparade.org, and the front page of the
parade program. The Platinum Sponsor also receives an entry in the parade that will be led by a banner highlighting
the company’s sponsorship.
Multiple Gold Sponsors receive the same benefits of Platinum Sponsorship except they are not listed as official
presenters and the companies’ names and logos do not appear on the parade program’s front cover, but elsewhere
in the booklet.

Silver and Bronze sponsors’ names appear in the program, on the website, in other promotional materials and on
banners carried in the parade. The added benefit of Silver Sponsorship is that it includes a parade entry, while the
Bronze sponsorship does not. The four sponsorship levels range in price from $250 to $5,000.
