Citizens asked to review transportation policy
draft
Edina, Minn., Nov. 3, 2004 – The Edina Transportation Commission (ETC) is inviting citizens to Edina City Hall
to review a draft of the Transportation Commission Policy at an Open House Thursday, Dec. 9, from 6 to 8 p.m.
The ETC welcomes public comments regarding the draft of the policy that will guide the ETC in the identification and
evaluation of traffic and transportation issues in Edina. The Open House will take place during a regular ETC
meeting in the Council Chambers.
The policy draft can also be viewed on the City of Edina Web site, www.cityofedina.com, and a paper copy is
available in the Engineering Department in Edina City Hall. Citizens can submit comments about the draft by fax,
952-826-0389; e-mail, edinamail@ci.edina.mn.us; or mail, City of Edina Engineering Department, 4801 W. 50th St.,
Edina, MN 55424. The ETC will meet again Jan. 6, 2005, at 6 p.m. to finalize its recommendation on the
policy.
The Edina City Council established the ETC in Dec. 2003 to address traffic and transportation issues to
stay consistent with its Comprehensive Plan and Edina’s Vision 20/20. The ETC has worked with City
staff to draft a Transportation Commission Policy to assist in prioritizing projects and improving the
transportation system.
