Edina Senior Center to celebrate first year in new building
Edina, Minn., March 14, 2003 – The Edina Senior Center will celebrate one year at 5280 Grandview
Square with an open house Sunday, April 6, from 1 to 3 p.m.
The celebration will feature entertainment by the Senior Center’s performing groups: Twin City
Harmonica Society, line dancers BZZ, Rhinestone Rockettes, Dandeliners and the Swingin’ Singin’
Seniors. In addition to entertainment, refreshments will be served. Guests will have the opportunity to
see the new furnishings and find out about new activities being offered at the facility.
With 1,500 members and a variety of activities, the Edina Senior Center offers something for everyone
55 and older. Among the recreational activities offered by the Senior Center are cards, creative writing,
exercise, defensive driving, line dancing and whittling. Health-related programs include blood pressure
checks, hearing tests, podiatrist appointments, vaccination clinics and health seminars. For more
