Edina Art Center presents the Second Annual Potters’ Games
Edina, Minn., April 2, 2003 – The Edina Art Center will present the second annual Potters’ Games
on Saturday, April 12 from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. The games – involving professional potters,
students and amateurs – include intense and sometimes hilarious competitions to create the tallest
vessel, largest bowl, or roll the longest clay coils. There will also be a “musical wheels” event and
competitions to make the most bowls in 10 minutes. Admission to the games is $3.
Pots, bowls and other pieces created at the event will be glazed and fired for sale at the Edina Art
Center’s booth at the Edina Art Fair, May 31, June 1 and 2. Proceeds from the Edina Art Fair will benefit
Edina Art Center programs.
