Edina Art Center welcomes author and artist
Beverly Bachel
Edina, Minn., Jan. 28, 2003 – To introduce the new line of books for sale in the Clark Gift Shop, the
Edina Art Center will welcome artist and author Beverly Bachel for a special book-signing and series of
workshops in February.
Bachel’s book-signing event will take place at the Edina Art Center Saturday, Feb. 8, from noon to 1
p.m. Bachel will be signing her award-winning book, What Do You Really Want? How to Set a Goal and
Go for It! The step-by-step guide helps kids ages 11 and older articulate their dreams and set goals in
support of them.
In addition to her book signing, Bachel will host a series of workshops during February and March.
There will be two motivational workshops offered for artists of all ages. “Creativity: How to Jumpstart
Yours” will be offered 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8. “Goal Setting for the Serious Artist” will be
held 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11. For parents and teachers interested in helping kids, Bachel
will host “Raising a Goal Getter” Wednesday, March 12, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
The cost for each workshop is $16 for non-members and $14 members. In addition, there is a $6
supply fee. Registration is limited and will be taken up to the day of the workshop.
