Great Duck Chase a success
Edina, Minn., October 1, 2003 – The first Great Duck Chase 5k and Fun Run was a
complete success.
Approximately 60 people participated in the event, which was held at Centennial Lakes
Park in Edina. Luckily, the weather participated for the event.
For the 5K, the male winner was Matthew Reinders from Bloomington. His overall time
was 15 minutes and eight seconds. The female winner was Mary Weidner who had a
time of 22 minutes and four seconds.
The 1.5 mile Fun Run was held after the 5K. Approximately 15 people participated in
the event, most of who were children and walkers.
