R- 74 EDINA PLACE, INC. March 25, 1974 Edina City Council 4801 West 50th Street Edina, Minnesota 55424 Dear Sirs: 5100 EDINA INDUSTRIAL BOULEVARD Edina, Minnesota 55435 612/941 -2600 J 9 We wish to petition the City of Edina to build immediately the connecting road between Ohms Lane (in Edina Interchange Center) and the frontage road presently under construction on the west side of Highway 100. As requested by the City of Edina, in the past we granted an easement for this road but we think that presently a much better alignment can be designed. We discussed this possibility with your City Planner, Mr. Greg Luce, and we are at your disposal for granting to the City the new proper easement. If a new alignment will be found proper, we are asking the City to relinquish the previously granted easement. Due to the numerous buildings now under construction and on the drawing board, it is extremely essential to relieve the heavy traffic from the Ohms Lane, and especially to create an alternative in case of fire or other emergencies. Therefore, we kindly urge you to proceed with construction of the new connection in the immediate future. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Very truly yours, EDINA PLACE, INC. A.
