HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-05-05 HRA Regular Meeting MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE EDINA HOUSING AND REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY HELD AT CITY HALL MAY 5, 1997 - 7:00 P.M. ROLLCALL Answering rollcall were Commissioners Faust, Hovland, Kelly, Maetzold and Chairman Smith. CONSENT AGENDA ITEMS APPROVED Motion made by Commissioner Maetzold and seconded by Commissioner Faust to approve and adopt the HRA Consent Agenda items as presented. Rollcall: Ayes: Faust, Hovland, Kelly, Maetzold, Smith Motion carried. *MINUTES OF THE HRA MEETING OF APRIL 21, 1997, APPROVED Motion made by Commissioner Maetzold and seconded by Commissioner Faust approving the Minutes of the Regular HRA Meeting of April 21, 1997. Motion carried on rollcall vote - five ayes. BID AWARDED FOR CENTENNIAL LAKES SOUTH POND MASS GRADING CONTRACT Engineer Hoffman informed the HRA the City received bids on April 24, 1997. Contractors were allowed to provide bids for this project on either a base bid or an alternate bid, based on different completion dates. The project will be funded by the HRA and developer. Engineer Hoffman noted an objection has been raised by the third low bidder as to validity of the bid bonds. He continued City Attorney Gilligan and staff reviewed the issue and although an irregularity occurred, the specifications allow the City to waive the irregularity because no material change occurred. Motion made by Member Maetzold and seconded by Member Hovland for award of bid for the Centennial Lake South Pond Mass Grading Contract to recommended low bidder, C.S. McCrossan Construction, Inc. at $99,300.00. Ayes: Faust, Hovland, Kelly, Maetzold, Smith Motion carried. CLAIMS PAID Commissioner Hovland made a motion to approve payment of the HRA Claims as shown in detail on the Check Register dated May 2, 1997, and consisting of one page totaling $8,826.41. Commissioner Faust seconded the motion. Rollcall: Ayes: Faust, Hovland, Kelly, Maetzold, Smith Motion carried. There being no further business on the HRA Agenda, Chairman Smith declare the meeting adjourned. cutive Director
